Depending on the characteristics of the product, Elastomeric bearings are divided into 2 types:
- Fixed Elastomeric Bearings
- Slide Elastomeric Bearings
2. PRODUCT COMPONENTS:
Elastomeric bearing is composed of rubber and steel plates which are chemically bonded through vulcanization. The thickness of the bearing is calculated to ensure the load, displacement and rotation as the requirement.
Elastomeric bearing is simple geometric structure, offering convenience during the installation, operation and maintenance. In addition, this type of bearing is capable of withstanding high and sudden shocks, vibrations and pulses from moving load to the span and abutment structures.
